Stabbey Posted February 14, 2024 First of all, the tutorials forum is generally used for someone to explain how to do something. Questions about how to do something should go into Editing Questions. Secondly, no, we cannot tell you how to create "a mod," because "a mod" could mean any number of things, with different steps for creating them. It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to create a custom map? Do you want to modify monsters, weapons, textures, sounds, etc.? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doombeginner666 Posted February 21, 2024 OK, sorry I didn't specify, I'd like to create maps for doom and I don't know how to start. By the way, there's a bug when I open GZdoom, it says: "Could not create pipeline cache: out of host memory" do you know how to fix this? Thanks 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Stabbey Posted February 21, 2024 My recommendation for learning how to make maps is to read or at least skim the extensive tutorials (they say for GZDoom Builder, but the lessons should be transferable to other editors.): As for the error, that sounds like your computer doesn't have enough free RAM space to run GZDoom. That sounds a little unusual, but it's not completely unheard of for older systems. What are your system specs? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doombeginner666 Posted February 26, 2024 Thank you very much for your advice I don't know how and why, but the bug resolved and GZdoom runs correctly now. One day, I found a ZDoom file named pipeline cache, and i think the same GZDoom pipeline cache just became not available at some point. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Doom-X-Machina Posted February 26, 2024 Literally hundreds of tutorial videos on Youtube about basics of mapping. Google it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
