Instant lowering floors

I managed to make instaraising floors with action 19, and then I tried to make instant lowering floors with action 55 (among a lot of other different raising actions) like Plutonia map11 does, but it didn't work. How do I do it? The map I'm trying to make has a really tall ceiling, does that change something?

All instant actions are caused by sending the floor the wrong way, such as telling it to lower to higher level or raise to lower. If you look at Plutonia map you are trying to copy, the pop-down sector is joined with a sector outside the playable area which touches sector with lower ceiling. That's how it disappears.

 

I'm not sure about "very tall ceilings", unless it's 32000+ units tall (2 in the power of whatever) it shouldn't overflow.
