Stabbey Posted February 17, 2024 Floor and Ceiling textures are known as "flats," and in many ports, they're only allowed to be 64 by 64 map units. It would probably be a little difficult to get a tiling floor which has enough detail to be convincing in just 64x64. GZDoom supports using wall textures on the floor, but it would still need to be set up to tile properly. That is likely why you haven't found much like that. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ViolentBeetle Posted February 17, 2024 You may also be able to create sky texture and apply it to those sectors. You would need port/format that supports those, though. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Yes, but if the player is able to look up or down, sky will look odd, the center will fade to a solid color. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

thelamp Posted February 24, 2024 This is a bit of a cheesy solution, but if you take this texture and use it as a midtexture (in the same manner you might use a grass midtexture) on top of BLOOD flat that will give more or less the impression of a "sea of bodies". It's just BODIES (or SP_FACE2) with most of the top part erased to give the illusion of depth. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
NiGHTMARE Posted February 24, 2024 There's a flat in the first Action Doom which would definitely fit this description. You can see a screenshot of it in use here: https://www.doomwadstation.net/main/action/ - it's the bottom screenshot in the right side panel. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
