Donowa Posted February 17, 2024 (edited) i haven't heard of any good sc-88 or 88 pro soundfonts, which is a shame since they have a very different, more professional sound than the sc-55 there's an sc-88 soundfont, but the samples are all fubar (guitars sound like horns) if you want a taste of what the actual sc-88 sounds like, listen to this or this Edited February 17, 2024 by Donowa 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
youngdoomer1234 Posted February 18, 2024 it is very dissapointing that none had made a sc88 pro soundfont 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gifty Posted February 18, 2024 Interesting to hear the SC88 version of E1M1; the melodic patches are marginally improved but pretty familiar, while the percussion patches seem WAY better. Would love to hear the whole soundtrack on this hardware. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gifty Posted February 18, 2024 Looks like there's at least this video to satisfy my curiosity! Very interesting stuff. Love that kick drum. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
LuciferSam86 Posted February 23, 2024 AFAIK the .sf2 has its own limitations , so a 100% accurate Sc88-pro soundfont might not just be possible ( without thinking the legal part) If you have enough cash I suggest to buy the Roland VST plugin Sound Canvas VA and then install something like this https://github.com/Falcosoft/vstdriver/releases/ A VST driver for windows with its own virtual midi cable , then just select the right midi device. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
