Was anybody from New Blood a member of the Doom community before?

Leon Zawada, who made Return of the Triad (Rise of the Triad for Doom), is one of two developers for Amid Evil. *edit, both of the devs did, thanks kwc!*

The recent ROTT remaster also featured both devs, plus the Night Dive gang (Kaiser, Quasar, LexiMax, Edward850 etc.), plus a few more Doom community members tagging in like Gooberman, Arlene and MTrop. And also HDoomGuy, for reasons.

That's probably cheating though. This thread's mostly about those who made their way up to the major leagues.

Mackey McCandlish, the author of Memento Mori MAP12 among others, is the current Apex Legends head designer.

it's kinda shocking how the author of memento mori's single worst map has improved so dramatically over the years

Mackey "Avatar" McCandlish's Doom maps seemed rather experimental and emphasised on otherworldly settings, looking at his maps for Hell to Pay and Perdition's Gate, including his deathmatch-only maps, and while some of them have questionable level design tropes, I didn't find them really all that bad, just had ideas that were clunky or poorly executed, plus some of them were rather good like the two secret maps for Perdition's Gate. He seemed to have improved greatly with his sole contribution to Hipnotic Entertainment's (what Ritual was formerly known as) Quake Mission Pack Scourge of Armagon, the secret level for the first episode (the layout was all his while Tom Mustaine added the gameplay elements featured in the mission pack).

I just learned that ACE Team, who created Batman Doom, are also the creators of the Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages series, still under the name of ACE Team.
