[GZDoom game] Rough Waves - hovercraft combat!

Recommended Posts

I've seen the trailer of this before and it's awesome, the art style remind me of Megaman 64 a.k.a Megaman Legends.

Curiously are the models made with Blockbench? I've seen such models made with it in that style.

Which is weird since I haven't made any trailer.

Yes! This thread is officially blessed! Though to be fair, I was going for that specific style, so I can't really complain when everyone is saying that.

I thought I've seen it on youtube before a few days ago? :/

Oh yeah, this is the video here

So not a trailer but a playthrough, pretty awesome though.

Oh, yes! I liked the Demo Version of this Project! It's amazing that it was created on GZDOOM!

I liked it so much that I dedicated my opinion along with Other Projects (In Russian)!

You definitely should not give up your job: there are very few such Projects!

Oh, I am definitely not giving up on what I'm doing, but I am giving up on GZDoom. I do want to get this game into a finished state, but don't expect it to be long. I will add one or two levels, bring back dialogues from the very first iteration of the game. There are some hurdles I've ran into, and while they aren't insurmountable, I feel like I'm better off investing my time into learning a proper engine rather than limiting myself for the sake of novelty.

If you think about it that way, then yes. It is rather better to transfer such a Project to a more normal Engine.

In my opinion, such games are created on Unity. I remember the game "Delta-Gal", which is created on this Engine, and is very similar to "Megaman Legends". Perhaps you should switch to it.

Oh no, I don't have any trouble picking engine, I am learning Godot, have released couple of small projects on it already. I have considered Unity, it has certain strong points for me personally, but it is more and more mired in controversy and I just like Godot better.
