making a new doom map.

hey guys its been ages since i last made a map but here i am again. i'm using what i learned before to make a new experience. i dont have a lot but i hope to release the maps soon. here are some images of what i have.

this map requires GZDOOM and a doom2 wad. I'll try to stay as active as possible during this.

aimshows, post the development of this WAD in the WAD Releases & Development forum section instead of WAD Discussion.

 

I have tested last night on earth with woof, and for a first map, the level contains the basic features you would expect to see in a DOOM level.

The rooms in the level feel empty, but this is expected, because you wouldn't know how to design the props or decorations with the DOOM Engine.

 

The level design is acceptable, and gameplay is more important compared to visuals.

thanks for telling me. i haven't posted in a while so im a little rusty on where to post. thanks for the feedback. im gonna add enemies soon when i get some other things done

I completed last night on earth, I will tell you right now the level does nothing wrong except for being a short DOOM2 level, and I have no problems with playing this level.

1 of the Secret Areas in the level is completely empty, and there are textures out of alignment.

 

While I am able to provide you with advice on how to build a DOOM level, the reality is any member on the Doomworld Forums will be able to provide you with level building advice.

Release a new level or update this level, then start a new topic in the WAD Releases & Development forum, and that is where the real excitement begins for DOOM level developers.
