Wall texture used as ceiling texture does sometimes not work.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

i know that Eternity Engine is able to use wall textures as flat/ceiling textures, so i am happily using this feature.

But sometimes it did not work.

I have made new textures with SUPPORT3 as base. they are 256 pixels wide and 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48 and 64 pixels high.

It seems that EE has a problem when the width/height of the texture is not a power of 2 when used as ceiling or flat.

These textures used as wall textures are no problem in all sizes.

I've been building this map for EE and GZDoom. GZDoom shows the part of the level from that screenshot correct.

It would be nice if there is an option to get all texture sizes working as ceiling/flat as they do as walls.

Thanks in advance.

Wall textures used as flats in EE still need to have appropriate dimensions. Using a 16x128 wall texture as floor works; a 128x16 one does not. Yes, that kinda sucks.

I have played around a bit more with this feature and my 256x64 pixel texture works fine. 128x64 i have not tested. Only 24,40,48 and 56 pixel width/height of those textures i made make problems.

I find it a bit confusing, because EE has No problem when i use this textures as wall-texture.
