EraserheadBaby Posted March 19 (edited) I need a new computer able to edit A/V for a 75 minute movie and run Cyberpunk at medium levels. DOOMworld has a lot of computer savvy folks, so I thought I'd ask for some advice here. I can build one from suggested parts and have of budget of $1,200. Thanks for checkin' the thread. DNSKILL5 Posted March 19 I'd rather not suggest parts as it will just lead to people saying X part is better etc, and besides, that's part of the fun of building a PC is selecting the parts and getting it within budget. If you intend to build and are on a $1,200 budget, then select the parts in this order for the easiest route to keep within budget: GPU - this is where a decent chunk of your budget should go if you want to complete the tasks you're wanting. CPU & MOBO - Buy the latest and greatest CPU you can afford and a MOBO that will support your GPU and CPU choices. RAM - Get at least 16 GB of RAM for what you're trying to accomplish, at least two 8GB sticks. PSU - No need to complicate this, 80 plus rated or higher. Storage - There's a few ways to go about this but under your budget I'd go with an SSD with at least 1TB of storage. Case - Now that you have your parts it should be easy to determine what size case you'll need to fit all of it. With $1,200 you should easily be able to put together a computer that will meet your needs, and you can always upgrade it later. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
taufan99 Posted March 19 I've heard GPD Win series isn't half bad if you're on budget. Haven't got a chance to buy one and use it myself, but I've heard good things about it. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

leejacksonaudio Posted March 19 Wish you had just a little bit more to spend. You could score a Sager i9 notebook for $1349. https://www.sagernotebook.com/Notebook-NP7550C.html I'm running a 17" Sager i9 notebook, and it's rock-solid. Would definitely buy again. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
