I Need Help on Contacting ID software

i was trying to email John Romero to see if i can use doom for a video i want to do,but Brenda Romero responded back and said that ID Software owns the ip and i would have to contact them but i can't find any way to message them or email them can someone help me please?

One does not simply contact John Romero.

A quick google search for contacting ID has led any contact directed towards Zenimax Inc., and contacting Zenimax leads to the following:

 

info@bethsoft.com

 

Perhaps your best way to contact ID is through them I suppose.

Why would they not let you do the video? I don’t think anyone else is asking for permission and if they are, they likely never get a response.

because i am trying to do a video with doomslayer and ID software owns the IP to Doom

Try searching for Doom on YouTube and imagine how busy id would be if every one of those uploaders contacted id for permission to create those videos.

hold up I'm waiting for a response from bethesda because i ID doesn't really have way to contact them

Unless you’re trying to sell the video as official Doom content I don’t think they’re going to care.

i want to be sure I'm able to this video and I don't get in any kind trouble

No, I think it's fine if you're doing just content creation.

You don't have to pester them.

You could just make the video, post it, and if they have an issue with it they’re just going to pull the video off YouTube. The worst that’ll happen is your account gets a strike.

You don’t need to ask them if you can use the Doomslayer in a YouTube video. They aren’t Nintendo. Even if they were, it is still a YOUTUBE video it is not a big deal.
