popcar2 Posted April 3, 2024 (edited) GitHub Repo: https://github.com/popcar2/CleanDoom/ Download: https://github.com/popcar2/CleanDoom/releases/ Hello everyone. I spent the last week creating a new mod launcher for Doom and I really wanted to share it! CleanDoom is a mod launcher that aims to be as simple and intuitive as possible. It has a clean interface and quality of life features such as creating and managing save directories for each profile, automatically detecting & using GZDoom Flatpak on Linux, and a streamlined introduction to select your source port and iwad. It currently focuses on GZDoom support (as it uses ZDoom launch commands), but I may add support for other source ports if there's demand for it. For now, please give it a try and let me know if there's any feedback. Features: A simplified intro for beginners of modding Multiple profile support, along with an option for automatic save dirs per profile Quickly adding mods by dragging and dropping them into the launcher Easily drag mods up and down the list to change the load order Quality of life features such as automatic detection of GZDoom Flatpak on Linux & the option to quit the launcher on starting the game Gif: Edited April 4, 2024 by popcar2 Replaced screenshots with gif 8 Quote Share this post Link to post
popcar2 Posted April 5, 2024 Heads up - just released two patches which includes a few important fixes and cool new tooltips to give more context and guidance in some areas. Version v1.01, v1.02 TL;DR: Fixed Linux build requiring recent packages, fixed a few bugs regarding profile selection, added tooltip "help" icons in some areas, replaced the icon of the app with a new one that looks a lot nicer. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

glu Posted April 5, 2024 (edited) Works well! I like the possibility to choose to have different save directory for each profile. The interface is modern and looks cool, and the fact that the launcher goes straight to the essential is a strong point and I think it can please many people, like the ZLD users. I haven't encountered any bugs, except when resizing, texts/buttons sometimes come out of their boxes. To go further maybe you could add the possibility to choose between multiple IWADs? Great job anyway! Edited April 5, 2024 by glu 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
popcar2 Posted April 7, 2024 New version is out with more polish and QoL! Version 1.0.3 TL;DR: The launcher now warns you if a wad is missing or cannot be found, the profile selection menu shrinks if you add many profiles to make up space, and a couple of bug fixes. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
popcar2 Posted April 17, 2024 Version 1.1.0: Theme support at last! Fine, you win. Version 1.1.0 adds multiple different themes for people that hate red, as well as support for custom theming. It also has a few important bug fixes and reduces the file size a bit more! Get it here: https://github.com/popcar2/CleanDoom/releases 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
