Andre Suave Posted April 4, 2024 (edited) I'm new to the whole doom modding as well as this forum. And I'm wondering if there's a wad that remakes the original levels to make them look more realistic. Like a hanger that looks like an actual hanger and a downtown that looks like an actual town. Preferably one compatible with Brutal Doom or Project Brutality. Edited April 4, 2024 by Andre Suave 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
june gloom Posted April 6, 2024 Doom 2 ReBuildt effectively recreates the first few levels of Doom 2 in a Build engine style while retaining the original layouts. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Napeyear Posted April 6, 2024 Knee-Deep in ZDoom is a remake of episode one from Doom that adds new textures, monsters, textures and a sick soundtrack to go along with it. Many of the original levels have been completed revamped, though many of the original layouts still persist, albeit with a greater level of detail and really expands upon the original shareware episode by adding ZDoom scripting, and features some absolutely massive levels. It's worth checking out just to see the amount of work put into the detailing alone, but it's also a decently fun playthrough as well. Phobos: Anomaly Reborn is another reimagining of episode one that is similar to KDiZD, albeit with focus on Boom features, rather than ZDoom, and has some awesome detailing as well, one notable example being a section where the player has to traverse a crane to progress through the level (the level of detail and creativity is really impressive especially for 2003). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
