One of the hanging corpse sprites in Doom is supposedly made from a photo of Mussolini and a follower of his hanging upside-down, dead.

Is this true? This looks so similar. Would ID Software even use real gore instead of just drawing something? Look up the photo of Mussolini hanging and it looks so much like the GOR3 sprite, it might not be a coincidence. I do not want to post the picture here, but it is easy to find.
