cannonball Posted April 8 (edited) Macro slaughter in the old west? Great Scott! Somebody get that hype train to 88mph post haste and for god sake make sure the flux capacitor on that infinite BFG is working properly... Seriously though, you guys are absolutely "Nuts" to make so many maps in such a short timespan and the rest of us will be for playing, and we will and we will feel dirty but will love every moment. Congrats to all of you on this release. Map18 - I always dislike the moment when I am in a restaurant and there is something wrong with the food because this is essentially what I imagine would happen if I were to say something to the waiter. Alas I am British, I will say nout and will moan incessantly to my wife on the way home and wait for the moment that I am beaten to death with a frying pan. Chuma Posted April 8 It was a pleasure to make a couple of Doom maps for this jam, i thanks Phoenyx for saving me doing collab with me, Phoenyx along with Meowgi was one of the first friends i've made in this community and i'm happy to get help when i need it :) The couple of maps i've made for Junkfood are some sort of retribution in my mapping / Level design journey, my 2 original Doom maps were lost forever (yeeesh lost media) and per se they were in a bad situation, so nothing of value was lost, but i've proved myself that Doom mapping is something i can do and most of all i had fun! Hope you enjoy my entries i worked with my best friend Phoenyx. If you are into Quake also, check my maps on slipseer if you feel like it, hope you have fun with those too :3 (small and kind publicity for my work if you want more content from my map creation). Have fun, have a great day, hugs for all of you Doomers, you deserve what you dream! EXCELSIOR! 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted April 8 It's rare to see such compelling depictions of the Old West in video games. Maps like "How it Felt to be a Gold Prospector in 1849" invite players to immerse themselves and feel what it was like in a way that no documentary or period drama can hope to achieve. I had a bit of a skill issue in MAP91 at the Spoiler part - the first time I played it, I walked back through the opening in the wall before it closed behind me, leaving me stuck in the closet. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

As the author of maps 64 and 79, I am certain you're correct on Thunder Force, and I'm pretty sure (memory's sketchy) you're correct on Lotus Land Story. Cheers! 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Meowgi Posted April 9 RC1.1 posted - This was mostly to fix an issue in MAP21 where the exit wouldn't lower., but there is a full changelog in the OP. Sorry about that! 8 Quote Share this post Link to post

Cynder_Thief Posted April 9 This project inspired me to make 2 of the best maps I've yet made. Cheers to the entire JF 3 team, and to our fearless leader for herding cats as seamlessly as he did. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
