Being rude to people who are trying to help you is a surefire way to have no one else want to reply. May I suggest not being a dick in the future, and also googling the word patience. Demanding answers right this second while a large portion of this site is either asleep or at work isn't going to get you anywhere. 8 Quote Share this post Link to post

How is this rude? It says Doom II, which I thought was obvious, and I didn't say anything like, "Bruh thre hell are you talking about, you're a fucking idot, lololol," I was just adressing he was saying the wrong thing. I am thankful he was trying to help, but he wasn't giving the right answers. Second, I am not demanding it now. I am just asking for it. Like, where am I saying something like, "I can't wait forever." I've been waiting just playing Doom. And I was having a good time until this comment showed up. You just confuse me man. Like, read the forum again, and realize you were wrong. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
ᒐack102 Posted April 9 Like, I realized I should just wait a while, you don't need to be a jerk about it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Like, you just can't accept the fact you were wrong. I wasn't being rude, and I was impatient for a second, but someone already adressed that, and I realize that. Please just stop. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Amaruψ Posted April 9 Obituary, released May 14 of 1995 seems to be the first one specifically made for Doom II. Dr. Sleep's Crossing Acheron can be technically considered the very first however, if you are to dismiss the fact that the first two releases were targeted towards Doom, then the 2.0 version of the wad released in October of 1994 is the first known one to be made for Doom II. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted April 9 As evidenced by this Usenet post from September 8, 1994, people had figured out how to make Doom II PWADs before the game was even officially released. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post

"Pain in the arse elementals" Seems like the vocabulary goes a long way. For the longest time, I thought BigMacDavis specifically came up with those :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Further evidence for early Doom 2 maps lies in the fact that several hacks of DEU existed that enabled Doom 2 support very shortly after Doom 2's October 10, 1994 date. MKD2Edit, for instance, was released October 28, 1994, ADE2 on December 8, 1994 and HFDE/2 (used by the famous Hank Leukart) was released December 13, 1994. Several editors have had the capability to retroactively enable support for new engines (such as Boom). DMapEdit, WadAuthor, and DoomCAD can be made to support Boom/Legacy style mapping features through their .ini file, WadAuthor even can do ZDoom (So supposely DMapEdit/DoomCAD can do too) 5 Quote Share this post Link to post
