Doom classics collection switch patch

I know this is years late but I considered opening the Nintendo switch doom classics collection by limited run games and wondered if the patches that were made for the digital releases would also apply to the physical release. Any one know if the patching applies to the physical cart as well?

Yes. All physical carts on the Switch (and frankly all consoles) are SKU compatible with their digital counterparts and thus download the same updates. In fact it's more correct to say that the physical versions are the digital versions.

Nothing updates the carts however, they are static and cannot be modified, much like with BD-ROMs on Xbox and Playstation.
