bejiitas_wrath Posted April 23, 2024 Power Complex This is a single map for Boom, this is for Doom 2. A nice techbase map for Doom 2. I made this to be pretty open, with a corridor dividing two sections of the map. I used influences from Ultimate Doom to make this techbase. Download: https://securitronlinux.com/arma3/eu.zip This requires Boom to run, it might not work with Crispy Doom. Using textures from 32X Doom, I made a niqe look. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post
Zahid Posted April 24, 2024 there used to be maps in 90s with gigantic spaces random monster placement, stacks of ammo at different random places, fights were optional as you can run away any where u like due to map size progression of those maps were totally random too....this map is a ditto successor of all those maps huge, empty and monotonous.... after half hour of clueless gameplay i fell into some totally random inescapable pit which seems appropriate ending to this map sorry but this map is dull boring and pointless for my taste i can only enjoy it if i once in a blur moon want to play the above mentioned retro maps my prboom cl9 demo popi9.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Zesiir Posted April 24, 2024 (edited) The architecture is grand and mysterious and looks cool, but combat encounters are far and inbetween, and when you run into them you often do not have the supplies to fight the large hordes, so you need to run away. Add to that the very sparse placement of health and ammo, and gameplay suffers heavily. Not much else to say, I gave up once I ran out of ammo and died to an acid pit. LadyMistDragon Posted April 24, 2024 I think this was from something six years ago I happened to play last month? Perhaps it was revised but eh, the structure seems very similar. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Well, thanks for that. I still would say it's similar enough in form, structure, and encounter bent that the two maps would probably blend into each other if you weren't making an active effort to open them and view them side by side. Actually, it's not different than many of his other maps, to be honest in the amount of detailing and other characteristics. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
