zeusty Posted April 25, 2024 I've noticed quite frequently while using DSDA-Doom(v0.27.5) as I move over usually elevation differences, the sound of a switch. Happens in various WADs and on various comp levels. I was watching a video on this level and I heard the same thing happen here as well at 14:44. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wps-IemJ39E That sound keeps happening frequently as I cross height differences, but it is not every height difference just seems to be some random ones. Anyone know what causes this? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted April 25, 2024 That's the sound a lift makes when it stops. Usually if you hear that without anything visibly happening it's from a line triggering something that has already happened. In the video you linked, the lines of the circle trigger a monster teleport trap when you grab the rocket launcher. The lines are set to trigger once (W1 Floor To Lowest Adjacent Floor), but that's each line, so only the first line you cross actually does anything and the rest just play the sound of lowering a floor. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Interesting ok. Yeah I wasn't sure it was the sound of a switch but I just couldn't pin down what sound it was I kept hearing. So what I'm gathering from this is functioning as intended then? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
