Per the thread title, I assume you mean how cool a speedrunner's name is, right?  Not to be confused with how good the speedrunner is, themselves, at the game.  Such things are less important.

 

In that case, there used to be this player named "Kinetic Beverage", a very good player but that isn't the point here.  In general and in this player's case, two words concatenated together usually make for great names - especially when it's an Adjective+Noun combo (as all cool people are).  In this case, it's even more thought provoking: what is a "Kinetic Beverage"?  Is it a nonsense combo that simply sounds cool?  Does it have something to do with moving liquids, something sophisticated like thermo-fluid-dynamics, or something casual and silly like sloshing milk or a vibrating, bubbly soda?

 

Either way, I haven't seen this "Kinetic Beverage" person in a while on this forum.  I hope they are doing well.

If we're talking purely about names, Vile gets bonus points because he managed to carve out an identity while using what would normally be a very generic username. Someone mentions Vile with a capital V and people go "ah yes, damn he's good", not "yeah I killed sixty of those an hour ago, sorry who were we talking about again?"
