issues with doors in slade

Question

When i interact with the door it dioesn't do anything despite the fact i have set it to player use. both the lines are facing outward so that isn't the problem. Any Tips?

It doesn't look like it from the third screenshot. From what was provided, I don't see at a glance what the problem is.

Try using Generic_Door or giving the sector of the door a tag and putting the tag in the door_raise lines Sector Tag argument.

Considering that the subject of constructing a door has come up so many times in the past it may be prudent to supply a link to your map.

Which way is your door going? Door failures were one of the issues I had when I was starting out, and it turned out I had them set up wrong.

 

Doors work by raising a sector's ceiling to the height of the next lowest ceiling. This means your closed door sector needs to have floor and ceiling both at floor value. You haven't shown us any screenshots with sector floor/ceiling heights, so I don't know what you've got set here, but if you've set your door sector so the floor and ceiling are both at the top of the door frame, the door will never open.
