They should make the next game titled simply Doom where you get to play as a current year gentlefellow who asks “how does this tie into the overall mythos and lore of the franchise?” and the edge of your seat questions such as “is this game part of the same timeline and universe as Wolfenstein and Quake?”, and, “what order should I play the games in?” instead of fighting demons you instead fight people that repeat the same shit over and over about how modern games bad old games good diarrhea doo doo ooga booga obama. The battle of Doom philosophers.

Doom doesn't need new games all the time, once in a while fits the MO better.

id doesn't need to focus on one franchise to make money - they have others that need similar attention, namely Quake.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  I like all DOOM.  Old DOOM has crazy hordes, old school charm, and a great map editor.  DOOM 3 and 64 have their spooky vibe.  And the new gen is a heavy metal fueled power fantasy that helped to inject life back into a stagnating genre.  Why hate on any of it, right?  (that eternal lore is pretty cringe, imo though.  but I ain't here for story anyhow).

Or is this the same MachineGame rumor that's been floating around since somebody heard about their involvement in the Q1 remaster, got their wires crossed, and mixed in some made-up stuff? Because MachineGames has been busy with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle for the past few years, and I'm not sure if they're a two-team studio.

being an alcoholic always leads into a destructive, unhealthy life style. I'd rather be clean off that nasty stuff and play video games instead.

You're not even old enough to buy alcohol in most countries. I don't have an addiction to snorting powdered diamonds while wearing a platinum buttplug in a spaceship. It's not because I'm morally superior. I simply don't have the option to do so either way.

 

I agree that it's one of the more destructive drugs that's accepted in our society over others that do less harm. But I've also known tons of people, myself included, that drink in healthy ways without making it a habit. I also know some people who are fucked up in the head and toxic that don't use any kind of substance. It's not really your place to judge others, particularly if you have little life experience. We all have our own demons and it's not always simple to just rip and tear them.
