BluePineapple72 Posted May 14, 2024 Outside of doom, one of my biggest hobbies is watching movies. I’ve got this video rental store down the road from me that’s got the largest collection of DVD and VHS movies on the US east coast. I pick up 2 movies a week from there (sometimes). One of my other biggest hobbies outside of doom and movies is talking. Naturally they all fit together pretty well. Especially the movies and talking. For this thread, just post a photo of the movie you’re watching during your movie night (doesn’t have to be something new, but I’d recommend it just for the fun of it) and then follow that up with some brief thoughts about the film. Doesn’t have to be a full on review. Today’s masterpiece is Chinese Super Ninja. I’ll post later what I thought of it. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
BluePineapple72 Posted May 14, 2024 Just finished Chinese Super Ninja. Also known as Five Element Ninjas and Super Ninjas, this movie is 100 minutes of pure pulpy goodness. I don’t have anything deep to say about it other than the fact that it’s fucking awesome and worth every second and that I recommend it. Also, a guy trips on his own balls early in the movie. Must watch. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
LadyMistDragon Posted May 15, 2024 Dark City, this kind of weird futuristic kind of sci-fish movie from 1998 where Rutger Hauer plays yet another creepy villain! There's some psychokinetic powers involved along with their theft. and it's definitely more on the 'soft sci-fi' end of things. While I'm not sure it would completely holds one's interest, it's kind of overlooked. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

It was pretty decent, it did a good job of transferring John Goodman, Billy Crystal, and Steve Buscemi into monsters. Edited May 15, 2024 by Jello 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
