Astro X Posted May 16, 2024 Does anyone have access to the midi file for the soundtrack from NoSp3 MAP23 'Firing squad' and are willing to share it? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted May 16, 2024 It's not a MIDI, it's a tracker module, like the rest of the music in NoSp3. But if that's fine with you, it's on Mod Archive here: https://modarchive.org/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=65038 (You can also just extract it from the WAD, D_AMPIE.) 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
Astro X Posted May 17, 2024 (edited) @Shepardus Yea, but then there's no way you can have that as a midi, right? All source ports support that? I ask because if I were to use it, I wanted to know whether it'd run in which source ports. Edited May 17, 2024 by Astro X 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shepardus Posted May 17, 2024 It's a different kind of format, can't really convert it to MIDI because tracker modules contain samples while with MIDI that would be up to the soundfont/synthesizer. Most source ports I've tried are able to play tracker modules, including Crispy Doom, dsda-doom, Woof, Eternity Engine, and GZDoom. Some that do not are Helion, Chocolate Doom, and of course vanilla. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
No-Man Baugh Posted May 17, 2024 TL;DR: If you want the MIDI to Chaos Theory: You'll have to make a cover of it 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Xaser Posted May 17, 2024 Oh hey, I know that one. :P So, normally the answer would indeed be "sorry, no midi unless someone makes one", but... turns out, someone made one :D Midi is by @DCG Retrowave, also thanks to @Bobby :D for commissioning it. May want to double-check with those two before sneaking it into a wad, but I'm cool with it at least. Chaos_Theory.mid.zip 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
