Which a self serving evil character wouldn't do, and doing it because "fuck em" or "the hell of it" isn't compelling story telling. I get it, but it's still just the same as in Fallout 1 bad ending. Should you choose the bad ending you're dooming your whole race to extincion, and like Mr. Freeze mentioned you might as well die yourself in the process of dipping. Or what is it I'm missing here? E: There actually exists an "bad ending" for FO2 but it's not exactly what I'm trying to point out. E: Unity in 1: We want our race to rule the world because only we can make an utopia. Fuck the rest. Enclave in 2: The same. Edited May 20 by Sonikkumania 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Depending on the dialogue you pick you can align with their vision under the idea that you will be a peer amongst the mutants (having been persuaded by the master) or you can join them out of fear of pain/retribution (you literally beg them not to hurt you). You are joining them to have a place in their world, selfishly, you have no idea if it does or doesn't work and are being told you are but you take the chance to save yourself. The Enclave are just going to kill you. There is no incentive. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

They experimented on intelligent Deathclaws and tried to train them as soldiers. Not to mention one of their most effective hitman was a literally hulking mutant brute. Soooo maybe someone (The Chosen One) they viewed as non human could've been considered an exceptional volunteer should the player been given an option to join them. For me they seem very generic and one dimensional in their FO2 appearance, but it could've been different. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
