Anyone know what guitar and amp was used in the SC-55 samples?

Hey everyone,

I'm working on a cover of one of the classic Doom tracks and I'm trying to get as close as possible to the original guitar tone used in the SC-55 samples. I know that the Roland SC-55 is a MIDI sound module, but I'm curious if anyone knows what real-world guitar and amp setup those samples were based on.

Has anyone here tried to match that specific guitar tone before? What gear did you use? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!

I'm more inclined to believe those samples were created with a synthesizer as opposed to a guitar and amp.
