Grungo Posted May 22 me feel depressed because I don't have school anymore and me feel no purpose in life, on top of that I am socially inept and I don't got much friends to talk to irl. I wish I wasn't so stupid 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
8088mph Posted May 22 (edited) my parents don't treat me like i'm driving, taking care of the house, and working a job, instead they have the same rules in place since i was seven. my irl friends are toxic as shit. my parents rarely have the time or are too tired to do anything with me. my only source of escape, the computer, is cut off by 7pm, which gives me 30 minutes of screen time after doing chores and showering on school days. Chezza Posted May 22 (edited) Nope, I'm good. But I hope you feel better soon. You could try do some charity work like one night at a soup kitchen. Get out of your comfort zone and be surrounded by the less fortunate with bad smells, broken families, no comfort likely with drug and mental issues. Being forced to be around them by helping them may change your perception of what happiness and contentment looks like. Also, try not fear the unforeseen. Having no plan of attack for your future doesn't mean you're hopeless. There is a partner, friend, job, (and likely more than one) out there that you will fit well in and be happy with. How quickly you want that depends on how often you're prepared to take on challenges that you're not even sure you can manage. One more thing. Don't fear failure. Failure when attempting something isn't necessarily a bad thing. Olympic champions and wealthy entrepreneurs are literally successful based on trying things, failing, dusting themselves off and keep trying. You probably failed / died many times in your favourite video games but you didn't perceive that as a big enough problem to keep trying right? ALilGrayBoi Posted May 29 I felt depressed as shit after a messy break up. It was REALLY BAD. But since then I’ve felt better. Every know and then I question life but you just gotta be grateful for what you have. In fact Doom is what kept my mind off of all that when I was still recovering from it. Find a passion, set an absurd goal. Even if it’s something stupid like beating Mario 64 with the least amount of A presses. Do something to keep you occupied as long as it’s not harming you. I’ve been working towards my goal of being a successful game dev. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I wish I wasn't so stupid I'm sort of in the same spot, I have no social aspects of what school is only the hard test parts and me doing it is also holding me back in my potential of doing projects, my only advice for you is to install linux you'll always be fixing stuff and if your lucky you might turn into a radical and find fulfillment in those beliefs. I hope you get out of the spot your in. Edited May 29 by Milkeno 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Baron T. Mueriach Posted May 29 This thread is fucking sad. I feel more isolated than I do depressed, I’ve never been depressed in my life as far as I’m concerned. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Preferably one that is outdoors and physical enough that you actually get tired. You clearly don't actually need the money so you could work on literally any farm and get paid in vegetables. I won't tell you the purpose of life but I can tell you that the purpose of your body is not to just hold up your brain while you think about nothing all day. Also, when you learn first-hand the energy it takes to create your food, you might gain a better appreciation for just being able to eat. 5 Quote Share this post Link to post

Yousuf Anik Posted May 30 Yeah because... that's how my life has become. I never thought that there would be so much pain and sufferings are coming, lol it's like Betruger from Doom3 was telling me "Sufferings and pain waits for you". I feel so depressed and worthless sometime. For me it's getting so struggling and difficult more and more that sometimes I think I can never get out of this. But even after all these, whenever I feel so down on myself, I just think one thing: my family is still with me and I have to live, at least for them as long as I can. And finally... there is Doom, the game that always makes me smile, no matter what. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Lila Feuer Posted June 1 For the last two months in a row yes, depression's at an all-time high. I barely care about anything that isn't Doom atm. I eventually need to sort out my situation before I'm able to even find and start working, then hopefully maybe meet someone I can connect with physically as I've also been the loneliest I've felt since I was a teenager. I wouldn't consider myself socially awkward per-se but I am not a social type and am much more comfortable being a homebody. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
