The question is within the context of Doom 2. I realize the answer could change based on who is fighting who, so just go with what your heart tells you overall. Feel free to post whatever thoughts you have on the matter.

For me, probably the pinky demon/spectre, even if their range hinders them. It's hard for me to think of a situation where I'd want them to lose.

The cacodemon looks funny when it’s fighting there own kind.  I kinda want it to win when they do this because they just fly around and look useless..

Always cool to see weaker monsters fight against a cyberdemon, everyone is trying to defeat a tyrant, and sometimes it looks cool.

Cyberdemon. In infighting scenarios, he's just a big friend with an infinite-ammo rocket launcher. <3

A cyberdemon clearing everything is cool and all but what is cooler is when just a little guy destroys him. Its like David and Goliath in doom.

I just love watching PEs overwhelm cacos with lost souls. I hate having to clean up afterwards, but I've deluded myself into thinking it's worth my time.

I almost always root for Mancubi when they're involved because half their projectiles hit random shit and it's funny watching them force themselves into a Last Stand situation

I have had some of the best luck with Chain Gunners in-fiighting taking down some surprising enemies in my Paradox playthrough on my channel one Chain Gunner took down a Revenant at full health. But I've had them take down some crazy stuff in different levels mancubus, Arachnotron, even a Baron which he was able to kill before it got too close it's always a joy standing right by his side with a friendly double barrel to the face for his helpful efforts once the battle is done! @SPG  mancubus would be my second favorite for widespread destruction

I've got a soft spot for the hitscannersz and when they punch above their weight class, I'm always pleased.

I replaced the Wolfenstein SS with a super shotgun zombie, and it was fun seeing them actually kill Hell Knights and Revenants in infighting.

Heavy Weapon Dude and Arachnotron. High rate of fire enemies, with the potential to painlock all but the hardiest targets.

I also like Cacodemons in open spaces. The Caco usually gets launched backwards, meaning he auto-dodges all the projectiles, but is still hitting the enemy. Can make a sizable dent even in a Cyberdemon's HP pool and the Cyber is distracted for a long time.

+1 for chaingunner: small and soft enough to have that “underdog” appeal (plus I know I can easily shotgun him away after he’s done his work), but rapid-fire hitscan means he punches above his weight and nothing is more fun than watching a Baron or manc or something fail to get a shot in and get melted by a lucky chaingun man

I consider an Imp to be one of the weakest enemies, not only in terms of health, but also its capabilities. Thus I root for it as an underdog! I have seen an Imp even beat a cyberdemon once, at some steps which caused the cyberdemon to get blockmap bugged. I seen it in Doom 64 but here it is in classic Doom:

It's always helpful when Pinkies take out nuisance enemies (i.e. Chaingunner, imps if they're hard to reach) because the monster left over can be reliably one-shotted with the SSG.
