MY SECOND MAP COMPLETED OF MY PROJECT.. SHOTGUN SURGEON!!

Hello. I recently posted the first map of my little project, which was tyson, now are you a bad enough dude to do slaughter, with a SUPER SHOTGUN!@?!?!? This is shotgun surgeon!!

also theres very little lighting editing in this im gonna do an art pass of all of my maps eventually.. ALSO THIS IS A MAP02 MAP02 @_@

Very fun little map! Just a lotta wholesale room clearing of lesser foes with the always great SSG, with a lot of supplies for more reckless players. Satisfying playthrough that'll take around ten minutes or so.

That was fun, got a max on first go, the viles were well placed. I think you have a bit too much soulsphere, medipacks and blue armors littered around if I could get out of some of these situations on first attempt.

I liked the texturing and detailing, quite a vibrant locale! I agree all that's missing, if you want, is a lighting pass. I didn't find any bugs or anything. A general feeling I got out of this map is that it feels like miniature. 20% smaller than a techbase, you know what I mean? Miniature is cute so it's got that going for it, but literally if you took the layout and you blew it up 125% and then retextured, you'd leave more room for fun stuff. But this is all down to play style and how much movement chops you need to get stuff done in your playstyle. Thank you for sharing your map with us! I hope you make more.

Ahah, now I understand the "boom boom boom boom" in your description ! Fun map with plenty of health and armor, even on UV, and a lot of hitscanners !

The music is kind of annoying when it loops for the 4th time but it doesn't bother me that much. Nice little and quick map, good job !

I knew I'd enjoy anything that wasn't a Tyson map and I wasn't disappointed! Strong setting too, the scattered Doomcute is very nice!

Really like the DOOM cute in this map design!  Maps modelled after structures I could see in real life are my favourite! 

 

This map also REALLY highlights how much fun the super shotgun can be.  Against a hoard of low health monsters?  Nothing beats it!

 

Not sure how I was supposed to get the second secret?  I ended up strafe jumping to it.  Not sure if that's what is intended.

 

It almost felt a little TOO generous with the health in the final fight.  Finished it with two soul sphere's left.

 

Overall very fun map!  Can' wait to see the next levels of the project :)

also yeah idunno i just figured id throw an easy secret to the player, some people are saying my maps have too much health and i'm tryna tone that down a little!

The clinic is overflowing with patients, but don't worry - the doctor is in.

 

I didn't expect to hear a midi rendition of Vengaboys when I started this map, but oh well. It's a quick romp through a small hospital-like map

filled to the brim with cannon fodder, and some more tough monsters to spice it up a bit. It's well-balanced, and the SSG shines throughout

the entire thing, even if the Chaingun also has it's uses. Map is well-stocked on supplies, so it's worth it to be a bit careless.

 

Final fight in the parking garage mostly boiled down to letting the monsters infight, then finishing Cybie off with the SSG. But that's fine.

 

Only issue I found was the door to the garage, that needed an unpegged texture.

 

Solid, fun map with good SSG gameplay, well done.

Fun map, I played it on UV and it wasn't really that hard, but that's just me, I enjoyed the map and its level design was awesome. I never was running out of ammo or health so overall good map!!
















I hate that song....

All at the same brightness.

 

I'm not a fan of meaty mindless shooters like the action movies with Schwarzenegger or Stallone a la 90s, and it's probably sad, because I was not impressed by this map. I'm very sorry.
