Can't see tracers

I'm a bit confused with that... i remember my guns showing "tracers" when fired, the pistol, the machinegun and the chaingun. Also, some monster fires the guns showing the tracers so....
Is that a problem i have? or is this normal? i've edited the files to fix that with no luck (all i get is permanent casings)
IS there a mod or something for that?

don't know :P it's been a while without playing it. But for sure, the NPCs have tracers (sentinel Droid, zombie soldiers, marines... al of them has tracers when firing)

As far as I remember only the chaingun has tracers.

At the end i did it. Instaling weapons of Mars destruction and editing the velocity of the bullets.
