I certainly would, especially since it's so near to the windows which would provide efficient solar heating for comfortably lukewarm water.

A pool 'powered' by solar energy! hmm. That would be a good idea for a military base....yes!

Recreation for all the hangar workers!

I pissed in it once, people mistaked it for day-old chlorine.

That's because you didn't find the über-secret on E1M1, the SECRET STASH OF PROTECTION SUITS! (Now in spring colours)

Gray is a spring color?

Hmm what do we all think of the first door? Or am I progressing too fast here?

You're right, we've gotten incredibly off-course. What makes the first door so much better than the rest of the doors in the level is that, aside from its wonderful silver design, it doesn't actually open. I swear, that could keep an idiot busy for hours :D

I love the texture of it! The door has always been a mystery to me. It's there, but you can't open it. Where does it lead to?

lol. Romero actually tried to fool someone on his forum, telling them it could be opened by pressing special keys!

I've always seen it as a secret exit to the last level, but a STRANGE AND MAGIC FORCE keeps it sealed for eternity!

It kept me busy for two days when I first started playing.

Yeah the fact that first door wouldn't open gave a feeling of 'omg theres no escape' etc.

Perhaps the same force that keeps you from passing through the windows!

Actually, I think it's a bunch of cheap sticky tape from that corner shop.

We're talking about an evil hell dimension? I thought we were talking about DOS 6.2 the whole time!

Speaking of weapons, I think shotguns are too readily available. They shouldn't have made an appearance until E1M2 at the very least.

I agree! The pistol is a nice weapon when fighting zombies and shotgun guys. We should've had a whole level of nothing but pistol action!
