Tolwyn Posted June 10, 2003 Hi, Archvile. ;) I really appreciate it, too. Well, mp3.com does, anyways. ;) Here's the skinny. I failed to keep up with music technology. I have some old equipment. I don't even know what keyboard I'd buy nowadays! I have an old Kurzweil K2000 and a Roland D50. Oh, and 2 Quadraverbs, an Alesis D4 drum module, outdated samples, etc. etc. What do I buy now? Korg? Yamaha? Kurzweil? Augh! The electronica craze was way too much for me to keep track of. I mean, man. I don't loop things. Or mix things. Or remix things. I play everything with a keyboard. My stuff sounds a bit too "old school" compared to how music is constructed nowadays. The newer music is CONSTRUCTED now, not performed. That's really foreign to me. People take ambient loops and they build songs, like lego sets. And just like legos, they all start to sound the same and are way over-priced. I do like some of it, but most of it is loops of old NASA audio of Gemini and Apollo wierdness. It doesn't make sense to me. I DO own Cakewalk and CoolEdit Pro 2.1 (ooo). And a MOTU MIDI Express. I can still DO music, but I'm kinda thinking that no one would be interested. ;) Ogg or Mp3? Which is better now? I have a daughter that is 1.5 years old. Time is precious. I AM talking with Mark again, though. Things MAY happen. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
