Sir Phoenixx Posted June 25, 2003 I was wondering how active this port is? Is there work still being done? (Is it still alive?) If this is still alive, do you need a 3d modeler for the weapons/objects/whatever? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Arioch Posted June 25, 2003 Yeah work on the project has magically come to a complete stop in the past 2 weeks (since the last internal beta), and we've all abandoned it. Translation: yes, it's still going (as far as we know). Not sure about model work just yet: timmie hasn't gotten there in the coding to say with any certainty about what ZDoomGL will need. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted June 26, 2003 Yeah, I'm still working on it, but I was on vacation for the past week :) I'm mostly waiting on 2.0.48, but maybe I'll just finish up 0.75 and get it out and not worry about the uncapped framerate for now. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
chilvence Posted June 27, 2003 Theres plenty work going for modelers yet; Just take a look at some of the stuff in the various model packs to see what I mean :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Sir Phoenixx Posted June 29, 2003 I'll post some screenshots of some of my previous work if you like... (btw, does the md2 format or zdoomgl have a polygon limit? if so what is it?) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
sirjuddington Posted June 30, 2003 Um, it has whatever the Q2 md2 polygon limit is... And yeah, some screenshots would be nice ;) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

That's almost 3 times more then MD3's limit... 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
sirjuddington Posted July 1, 2003 Ooh, nice ;) IMO (and most others would probably agree with me here) the enemy and hud weapon md2s really need redoing, so feel free :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
chilvence Posted July 2, 2003 If you want to work on the models though, check out the newdoom doomsday forum; theres quite a bit of work happening there by lots of different people. Some good stuff to download too :) http://forums.newdoom.com/ 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
