Vile Posted October 15, 2003 Dunno if this was perhaps archived elsewhere (and given that the appropriate forum came along) but I decided to leave a reference thread for all the completed demopacks done by the DSF crew. http://lmp.netfirms.com/2001-e1/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/2002ado/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/av/ <- old av tho http://lmp.netfirms.com/ch-retro/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/crusades/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/scythe/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/slayer/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/tvr/ If you're new to these... whoa, dat's alotta demos! :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Opulent Posted October 15, 2003 Very nice. All of these are recommended. Some damn fine work in there by many of the best players. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted October 15, 2003 I've downloaded the demos for 2002ADO and ChRetro, very kickass demos. Smashing job. :) 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted October 15, 2003 I think I have watched all of these at some point, and can confirm that every single demo in those packs is well worth watching at least once or twice. Have plenty of popcorn ready! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Ryback Posted October 16, 2003 *checks above list* goddamn, I need to get a life. btw, you missed a couple: http://lmp.netfirms.com/e1contest/ http://lmp.netfirms.com/lmps/packs/t_dunn02/td2-lmp2.zip 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Searcher Posted October 16, 2003 All those demos are just astonishing! Sure shows me how poorly I play compared to the best guys around. Ryback, if you had a life I would have to get one too, because I would'nt have the tons of demos you've made to watch. Please don't get a life, I just love the demos ;) btw the link to the wad file for E1 Contest UV demopack is broken. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DEMOn Posted October 16, 2003 All of the demos for those pwads are mysteriously also at the DSDA (um, I think). Ryback is one of my favorite players to watch demos from. One of the players who work miracles by seemingly playing effortlessly. and Gene, I have yet to see a demo of yours that I didn't enjoy. Plently of skills in your briefcase of DOOM. :) edit: oh, he said "wad link". oops... I'll post it when I get home from work. :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted October 16, 2003 The links for the AV demopack seem to be broken (I get a 404 error in both cases). They can be found here and here. The E1 Contest wad appears to be here. I hope that is the right version (I haven't tested it). Gene: a major part of the fun of watching demos is that you get to experience a map without all the hard work of actually playing it. So any demos you care to send will be very welcome indeed. I have always found your demos good to watch, BTW. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Opulent Posted October 16, 2003 Grazza said:a major part of the fun of watching demos is that you get to experience a map without all the hard work of actually playing it. exactly! I feel like I've actually played through tnt.wad several times now... when, in reality, I've never played it. :) Demos are the second best way to experience a map(short of playing it, obviously). send away! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
