CrazedFan Posted January 27, 2004 Elevated Gaming, recently formed by community developers to expand Doom 3, is searching for talented developers to join our select team in the creation of a high-quality expansion pack for Doom 3. Modelers, Level Designers and Artists are all invited to browse http://www.elevatedgaming.com for more information. Our project will be available for pennies on the dollar compared to most expansion packs and the rewards will be fairly distributed to our members, not to large publishers or outside stock holders. Each Elevated Gaming member will enjoy a terrific experience as well as the pride and accomplishment of providing awesome low-cost game-play for the community to enjoy. Elevated Gaming and our work on this Doom 3 expansion is serious and will require a large block of time; however, I’m sure it will be worth it to develop and play! Please take a moment to stop by and check us out. Recruitment officially begins 01//27/2004. Thanks, 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
toxicfluff Posted January 27, 2004 Fuck it... : CrazedFan, before you start asking for help on your new mega-cool-and-whatnot project, make sure you have something to show first (screenshots, map downloads, etc). Keep in mind we've already seen thousands of upcoming projects that actually never got done. Welcome to Doomworld. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Psyonisis Posted January 27, 2004 uhh.. shouldn't the game be available before you can modify it? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Fredrik Posted January 27, 2004 (Retarded posts severed from thread.) Good luck with your mod. I suspect you'll have a hard time getting qualified people to join unless your current team demonstrates what it can do first, though. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
dsm Posted January 27, 2004 I have to admit that the clearly visible grammar/spelling errors on the page made me take this whole thing a lot less serious. I'll try and keep an open mind for now, but I do suggest that you actually do some mapping first and take screenshots of those, before you start asking for help - otherwise you won't get much luck in recruiting people. Oh and you'd better wait for Doom 3 to actually come out before you modify it - of course, you're still free to do the planning (you've got an interesting plot yet?) ToXiCFLUFF, quit using that damn newproject tag or I'll shove a red-hot rape stick up yer ass - find a more interesting way to express that stuff instead. :-P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I've used it what, twice? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Mordeth Posted January 27, 2004 They do mention their previous Quake add-on, called "Abyss of Pandemonium". A quick search on Google netted me a review and a link to a demo. This for people who want to check out this team's previous work before committing themselves. And yes CrazedFan, you generally get a better response if you mention previous work so you can distinguish yourself from the rabble of other wannabe doom3 mods. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
