problems with Z doom when playing Multiplayer online... NEED HELP

when me and my friend play Zdoom online using the zdoom launcher, we will start out playing fine, and after a while we will get a "consistancy failure 0" then all of a sudden like he will dissapear and ever so often i will see him, but it is really not him.

i use a cable internet, and he has dial up. how can i fix this problem?

Are you both using the same version of zdoom?

yes we are. he is using the same version of doom that i am.

Do you (both) have the newest version? Some consistency failure causes have been fixed since 2.0.47i I believe. I know I haven't had any since then. Download the newest version by going to http://www.zdoom.org/files/lars/ and then click on 63.cab at the bottom.
