Why put the ftp link in the site for? If someone (I.E. a hacker) gained direct access to the ftp via the depot, the results could be catastrophic.

As far as I know, that never has happened yet.

It's worked fine as an FTP ever since he's been here, I doubt it would start being hacked now.
