Since the UV Speed route relies on shooting the cyber, this obviously needs a slightly different trick to get that door open. I'm sure you've already guessed how... Map23 UV Pacifist in 0:34. It's likely, although since the door is big enough for the cyber demon to enter maybe it is possible that they just wanted to increase its mobility. Maybe it is both. I must thank Grazza for these two demos, he encouraged me to go for a map 23 NM run, and when I finally got it, I quickly realised 0:12 was within my reach for the UV run, so I went for it, and got it very quickly. I think about the only thing that ate up much time would have been the jump over the ledge onto the invisibilty... And being a keyboarder, hehe, well, we both know how much of a bitch those kinds of jumps can be... :) Also, is Angus still working on map28's UV MAX? Think it was Angus, wasn't it? Gusta Posted April 21, 2005 Method completed this map while beta-testing, with very carefull play in 57 mins I think. That version as slightly different, (many archies were moved from tower to nukage to have a free moving.) This maps lags a bit on my comp but I don't think I would be able to complete it. I have played it very cautiously, in about an hour I think. I decided to speed the things up (I don't want to show you all a very slow and ugly first exit) and tried some better strategies. For example, you can spare the invulnerability in southeast for later - cross the line that opens the doors but don't take the sphere, let the cybies kill the revenants and cacos, the invul doesn't last long enough to BFG your way through the revenants and kill all cybies (8 in total). No hard to get to secrets though in my next UV-Max...this one for map13 with a time of 8:08. Watch me almost bork the run after the RK door ^_^. Anima Zero Posted April 23, 2005 Ok, just did a fairly sloppy map09 UV-Max in 4:53. The beginning and ending scenes could be improved greatly. Yeah, the time's a good minute slower than the original demo for this level :P. However, I justed wanted there to be some sort of demo for this fun map. On the other hand, this one is also pacifist, and may provide some ideas for how to bring the time down (though maybe you've already got something like this in mind). I had one run (included in the zip) where I got blocked mid-air by some sort of invisible wall, which came as a bit of a surprise. kp13-014 0 Share this post Link to post

Anima Zero Posted April 25, 2005 That map28 max was very nice! Good job! Now then, I improved map20 UV-Max to 13:06. The Mastermind/Cyber infighting was ok, but could be better. Also a few small mistakes as well. There were also some minor changes in the beginning, such as the backpack+ SG shells being collected ASAP and telefragging the 1st manco as well.
