correct me if i am wrong but a while back i remeber seeing a neat litte program that could use a built in PC speaker to make and use 16bit sounds? if such a program, if it is possible, exist i would like to have it. however i dont really see how that would work but my older 486 system lacks a sound card. if the program does not exsist please give me a link to a RESECTABLE place where i could download a WORKING older ISA soundcard for a 486 PC, please no ebay i dont trust that shit

if such a program is out there, and it works good, that would kick ass. however i think this is some wierd ass thing i dreamed up. anyway playing with this 486 is kind of fun. just overclocked from 66 to 80, not much by todays cpu's but for a 486 that is pushing it a bit that is almost a third more than its speed. that would be like overclocking a p3 450 to 585, rounded to 590mhz

You can grab this utility here on Doomworld from the utility section:

http://www.doomworld.com/files/editors.shtml

It is called "spkdoom"

"spkdoom 2775 Kb This utility will render 16bit sounds on the in-built speaker on a soundcardless machine."
