Is it possible to run HacX with jDoom? Or is there going to be a seperate "jHacx" in the future??

Hacx is just a Doom pwad with a rather complex dehacked patch. So the question is really if jDoom has, or will have, good enough dehacked support.

what does hacx run in? I don't think the author is active anymore in the mod community.

Seems to run fine in Zdoom using the port enabling add-on WAD.

HacX was designed to run with vanilla DOOM2, so yes, anything that has dehacked support like ZDOOM, DOOM2.exe, I think Legacy will run it fine too.

There was no single author BTW, I was one of about 26 people that worked on it. I still hang around here. :)
