Quasar Posted June 19, 2006 The limit on all mutually referencing map entities has been increased to 65535 by extending the indices to long int and converting values except -1 where appropriate to unsigned. This took approximately five minutes to do, and thus I am really crazy for having waited this many years to start it :P In other news, today is my birthday! Yay!!! Quasar Posted June 19, 2006 It's scary because that map (crudreams MAP99) almost expends the new limit too. Clocking in at somewhere around 54000 segs, that consumes about 50% of the newly available segs :P Like Graf Zahl and others have said, even the new limit can be easily broken by levels that are either really large, extremely detailed, or attempt special effects like this. Fortunately, hubs will help to offset that limitation as well. I'm probably gonna start bangin' around on the hub engine pretty soon. Oh and Sarge, it really did only take 5 minutes ^_^ 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
