PRBoom(+) sound compatability

A wad I am currently working on uses alternative sound effects
for the cyberdemon.
They Sound great in zDoom, but in PRBoom they are absolutely terrible.

This wad needs to be completely boom compatible, but getting rid of
the sounds is not the solution I'm looking for.

Heres a zip that has both a wad with a level made to show the sounds,
and the actual sound files.

Then the sounds need to work well in Boom (and probably PrBoom+ unless it somehow handles sound differently).

DSHOOF is fucked up. It's monged up in both Boom and PrBoom. In fact, WMP 6.4 tries to look for a decompressor and fails to play it. Window's recorder plays it, though.

Open DSHOOF in a sound editor and save it as a proper WAV file.

Any suggestions on a sound editor to use? I tried using sound recorder to re save them, no difference.

Yeah my IP changes way too much. I've had to edit those posts several times to make sure they were accurate.

My bad, I meant PRBoom+. The wad i'm working with has so many sidedefs and linedefs in at least one of the levels that it can't run on anything
other than prboom+ and zDoom.

Yeah, the wake up sound needed to be swapped to the Doom format, and the hoof sound needed that plus being saved as an 8 bit sound first.

Yeah, being 16 bit is what caused it to be so screwed up.

Well, I'm glad that was an easy fix. So at this point, everything
is 100% compatible with PRBoom+, woot.
