My first model (gasp!) [Tank sort of thing]

I wanted to start modeling for Unreal Tournament 3 as I want to make scenes with it, so I starting to mess with Maya PLE. I made a first attempt shown below. It's not bad considering I didn't bother using the grid.





Once I get more familiar Im going to start modeling people and such, and eventually a scene. :)

Pretty nice looking! It makes me think of the old Atari 2600 Combat tanks. In terms of practicality/physics, the barrel seems rather too large/long in relation to the body, but as it's fantasy, that doesn't matter.

Is that the WHOLE tank, or is it just the swerving turret on top?

Exactly, but this would pass off as a really awesome turret or AA gun-type of thing.
