That is, unless I turn this one into a server so I can use it's Dual-Processor capabilites (I already have three processors for it anyways :P), in which case I'll buy a newer machine for my Win95b install. 0 Share this post Link to post

nxn Posted December 7, 2001 Hey orion, which one should I get? Roland SCC1 (if it's still around) or the one you got, Sound Blaster X-Gamer? I absolutly love my sound blaster, I never had a roland though so I can't really compare them. =\ I still don't think you could go wrong with any of the sound blaster lives, although platinum is a little pricy (maybe the price fell since the last time I checked). What I'd also recommend are some nice speakers, like kilpsch pro media 4.1 you get four 60 watt satellites and one 160 watt subwoofer that you can use as an a/c in the summer =] . It all adds up to 400 watt's of power (I never had to push it passed half way, my ears start to hurt at like 45% with some slayer cd's) They also have 5.1 speakers if you're intrested in pushing a sound blaster to it's max. 4.1s are 300 bucks and 5.1s are 400. If you're intrested in them go to klipsch.com 0 Share this post Link to post
