Consider yourself lucky. 0 Share this post Link to post

esselfortium Posted November 19, 2008 It should also be noted that the page I linked to contains quite possibly the finest review that has ever been written for a Skulltag wad, ever. 0 Share this post Link to post
Coraline Posted November 19, 2008 http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/12/11541/shot49.png Just a random screenie from a project I'm working on. 0 Share this post Link to post
soulsweat Posted November 19, 2008 I'm not posting a picture but rather looking for one Recently an Xbox 360 update arrived and changed the entire look of the 360. When you go under Doom [360 port]there is a great picture of the Doom cover with a bright Orange tint. If anyone has that I would greatly appreciate that as a Desktop background. 0 Share this post Link to post

Coraline Posted November 20, 2008 Vermil said:Actually, it's for EDGE ;) =) Haha glad someone recognized it! I'm just here to prove that EDGE still has a lot of life left in it, regardless of what people think of the port. This is probably a better description of the mod. ;) 0 Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted November 20, 2008 @Chu: I hate to say it, but the textures and most of the models in that screenshot you posted look kind of...ugly to me. Not to mention mismatched. 0 Share this post Link to post

Yeah, I know, I'm not much of a level designer. It looks much better in-game. I recently used a new set of textures but I'm not sure they look any better...haha. I'll admit that much. The models were kinda thrown together just to see how light would react to them. That ugly grey tree is going: eventually most of the models will be based from Blood itself. Right now I'm trying to use as many external resources as possible to prevent it from looking like Zblood. 0 Share this post Link to post

Stupid Bunny Posted November 27, 2008 HAHAHAHAH I hadn't seen that before. It's too bad that's a hoax...I would love to play Doom on the Atari 2600. It would be hilarious, most likely. 0 Share this post Link to post
magicsofa Posted November 27, 2008 reminds me of Wolf3d on NES....although the graphix were significantly better :P 0 Share this post Link to post
EarthQuake Posted November 27, 2008 The technology and advancements exist for recreating Doom on the 2600, but it would involve turning the television onto it's side. :) Because of the way the system draws graphics on the screen, and how much time a non-symmetrical display requires, it's not possible otherwise. Doom uses a column renderer, and the Atari displays graphics row-by-row, so it's not feasible creating fluid 3D games on a 2600. Check out some of the trippy things the 2600 can do. 0 Share this post Link to post
_bruce_ Posted November 28, 2008 VCS Doom, and the VCS in general, rocks. We used to play endless hours on this machine. Four preview-shots of my E1 style map. Simple, basic, E1. 0 Share this post Link to post
