I was just playing through Doom2 using the ICD-DDF wad/mod for EDGE. I had gotten to Map 07, Dead Simple, when suddenly I heard gunshots. Most of the time it's quiet. Just you versus them. Strange, then, that there should be gunshots. I hit the switch you hit to lower the box you're in down, so I could go fight the Mancubi. I saw another Marine there-and a girl Marine at that. Odd. She was running around killing the Mancubi right in front of my eyes. Then the Arachnotrons came out and she got killed.
Can anyone explain why this happened? If you don't believe me, go try for yourself.

That is simply because the megasphere is replaced by a friendly female marine, for some reason.
