Crendowing Posted January 21, 2002 My funds have become very low recently. There are also a few items out there that fall within my present price range, but I can only get one. Which should I get? 0 Share this post Link to post
Liam Posted January 21, 2002 I don't think Driedels would spin in a sandstorm. Anyway, get the memory boost, unless you already have like 512 megs. 0 Share this post Link to post
Crendowing Posted January 21, 2002 Dradels, driedels, however it's spelled. I got it from the move Wrongfully Accused. BTW, I've got a bare minimum of memory (64 megs). 0 Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted January 21, 2002 Why does the flood protection apply to voting? Retarded. 0 Share this post Link to post

I didn't comment on your spelling, although I was contemplating it. If you only have 64 megs, go for the ram and listen to Reznor later. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted January 21, 2002 Nine Inch Nails Live: And All That Could Have Been Yes! I'm getting that on Tuesday (unless I somehow win the web site contest in the mean time). I'm going down to Warehouse, and I'm going to buy the DVD, and ohGr's CD if they have it, then my friend and I are going to his house to watch it with surround sound and a big screen TV. :) NIN is fucking awesome in concert...I'd recomend getting the DVD if you can. 0 Share this post Link to post
sleepy_boy Posted January 21, 2002 The ultimate solution: become a terrorist and crash a 747 into the Hoover Dam. /me scratches his head... hmmm...the Hoover Dam WOULD be a good potential terrorist target...crashing a plane into it would cause: -most of Nevada's power to go. -Las Vegas to shut down. -a flood. hell, why didn't any taliban think of this! /me becomes a Canadian terrorist. 0 Share this post Link to post

IMJack Posted January 21, 2002 I think the Hoover Dam could probably soak a hit from a 747. A dam is more dense and more durable than a skyscraper, and the dam doesn't have the burning/melting potential that actually did the WTC in. On another note, is it a bad thing if, whenever you spell "dam", you automatically try to stick an "n" on the end? 0 Share this post Link to post
sleepy_boy Posted January 22, 2002 well then, crash it into the building where the floodgate controls are. jesus, don't we have ANY shreads of creativity left? 0 Share this post Link to post
doomsick Posted January 22, 2002 RAM!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111 you can never go wrong with that choice. 0 Share this post Link to post
pritch Posted January 22, 2002 nice to see sleepy_boy keeping his posts relavent.. ;) Yeah, the RAM, unless, like me, you're upgrading soon. But always get the Value card if you do, yadayadayada. 0 Share this post Link to post
Crendowing Posted January 22, 2002 Hey Danny Boy, did you see the 1 hour special on that album on MTV 2? It was alright...I recorded it though :) And Pritch, I am upgrading......gradually. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted January 22, 2002 The flood gates won't open if you destroy them, you'll just cut off the power. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shaviro Posted January 22, 2002 NEVER.......EVER.......GET.......A........Creative......soundcard. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted January 23, 2002 Hey Danny Boy, did you see the 1 hour special on that album on MTV 2? It was alright...I recorded it though :) Grrr....I don't get MTV2. But that's irrelevant now. I have the DVD. Muahahaha! 0 Share this post Link to post
Lüt Posted January 23, 2002 NEVER.......EVER.......GET.......A........Creative......soundcard.Huh? Creative cards rule. Never used those PCI ones though. Retarded crap, all PCI soundcards. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zaldron Posted January 24, 2002 Yeah, it's not like these new motherboards have ISA ports... :P What's your fucking problem with PCI soundcards anyway? You once mentioned something about sound skipping. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. In fact, that's more likely to happen on ISA cards. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shaviro Posted January 24, 2002 sb cards have crappy software. I don't believe how amaturish it is. Never seen anything like it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shaviro Posted January 24, 2002 Works perfectly for me. you are a _very_ lucky man. 0 Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted January 24, 2002 If you get problems, that is because of the Pentium... 0 Share this post Link to post
Crendowing Posted January 24, 2002 If you get problems, that is because of the Pentium...Oh goodie! I take it no problems will be experienced on a Celeron then? BTW...I've made up my mind.....SBLive! baby! 0 Share this post Link to post
Lüt Posted January 24, 2002 What's your fucking problem with PCI soundcards anyway?Just that they require so many more resources to funtion properly. 9 of 10 PCs I've used with PCI soundcards (above 650 MHz) have major skipping problems in Win98 and WinME, and people I know complain about that all the time. I just plug in my SBAWE64 ISA card to see if it makes any difference, and of course all skipping is immediately gone. So then these people get ISA soundcards and everybody's happy. 0 Share this post Link to post
