NaturalTvventy Posted April 15, 2010 hey friends, is it possible to record a demo with ZDoom? I use the old fashioned way (-record) but when I try to replay the .lmp it crashes while trying to load. is there something I need to change, or is this just not a functioning feature of ZDoom? Thx, NT 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted April 15, 2010 It works for me (ZDoom 2.4.1 (r2152) on Windows XP) what did you name the demo? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
NaturalTvventy Posted April 15, 2010 just the name of my wad, end3. why does the name matter? i'm using the newest version of ZDoom under windows 7. Edit: I just named it 'enddemo' and it worked fine. dunno what was wrong before. probably user error. NT 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
John Smith Posted April 15, 2010 Be aware that demos in ZDoom have a notorious habit of breaking between versions, and, probably between various SVN revisions now too. So if you plan on sharing this demo with others it would be a good idea to tell them what revision or version of zdoom you used to record it. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
NaturalTvventy Posted April 16, 2010 d'aw man! I just made a run through my wad (Awakening) recording a demo, and finally made it through without dying, and the flippin' thing is out of sync. it took half an hour, so that's probably why, eh? is this a pretty common occurrence? boo NT 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
