Occasionally--the poses generally aren't mold-friendly, in that the figures would have to be cut up into smaller pieces, individually cast, and then reassembled.

I'm loving it. bet seriously the dude with the long arm is cool, I can imagine him reaching for a beer in the fridge while watching the game.

Thanks for the comments!

Earthquake: Yeah, I had the same impression. Reminds me of those little 'scrubble bubble' bathroom cleaner dudes too.

It's basically papier mache--if you can wrap a mummy, you can sculpt/model something out of paper. I also mix tissue paper with white glue to make a clay-like substance I call "Kleenex putty". That's really all there is to it, materials-wise. I also use a woodburner as a sculpting/smoothing tool. The rest is just experience/talent/determination.

You can probably find some papier mache how-to books at your local library, alternatively, this international online papier mache group has tutorials, a forum, etc. that's free to join/participate in:

I'll probably get around to making another DOOM figure one of these days, but my current plans call for otherwise at the moment.

I remember those guys, but they didn't do much for me--if I was going to make something from Turok 2 again, I'd probably pick something else. Like I said, I have other plans at the moment (a TMNT custom contest on one forum, and a weapon sculpting challenge on another sculpting forum--theoretically I could do a weapon from DOOM, Turok 2, or some other FPS for that contest, but I haven't made up my mind what I'm doing for it yet).
