RjY Posted November 18, 2010 When I run prboom-game-server it says ..waiting for 2 players. You need to say you want four players with "-N 4".$ prboom-game-server -N 4 Listening on port 5030, waiting for 4 players 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
40oz Posted November 18, 2010 I'd suggest Odamex which is a multiplayer oriented source port and does not deviate too far from what prBoom does, unlike ZDaemon and Skulltag which are ZDoom derivatives. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted November 18, 2010 Heh. Odamex is also a ZDoom derivative. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted November 18, 2010 Yeah, both ZDaemon and Odamex are based on csDoom, which is based on ZDoom 1.22. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

They make more sense when more people are involved, when wanting to make the game public, or if the players are not close to each other geographically. By the way, blob84, if you're interested in using compatibility settings with PrBoom online, you need to use the -c parameter on the server and point to a PrBoom CFG that defines the compatibility under default_compatibility_level. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
