dmdr Posted April 12, 2011 Andrew Apted has released EDGE 1.35. Since he was the sole developer and he mentioned that he is backing out of the project, this also (sadly) means the end of EDGE. So grab 1.35 and play a little Immoral Conduct in memoriam. The changelog is here. 0 Share this post Link to post
Zeroth Posted April 12, 2011 it's always a shame to see someone leave a project, but is understandable. hopefully he's not leaving the community. 0 Share this post Link to post
fraggle Posted April 12, 2011 RIP EDGE. I remember back when it was called DOSDoom and the name change. It's had a good run. Well done to Andrew for maintaining it for so long. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ralphis Posted April 12, 2011 Hooray for EDGE! Doom Resurrection was today's generic zdoom mod before generic zdoom mods existed. Also Andrew rocks socks anyway 0 Share this post Link to post

There was a pretty big weaponpack around with even a nuke launcher... that was quite impressive in that time 0 Share this post Link to post

david_a Posted April 13, 2011 The one I'm thinking of was way earlier. It might have been a DOSDoom TC. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ralphis Posted April 17, 2011 I'm pretty sure it was the aforementioned one with the nuke launcher 0 Share this post Link to post
deathbringer Posted April 18, 2011 I remember Doom Resurrection! I loved the "Super Imps" that shot Cacodemon fireballs. In fact I stole them for a wad of my own that never got done. The Nuke launcher was a bit naff, mind. The explosion was just the same as the rocket launcher explosion, and then you died, and so did everything else in a huge radius. Also most of the levels were nicked off the Harris Levels. Still it was good fun at the time. 0 Share this post Link to post
